Courtney Walker, President & Principal Researcher
Courtney Walker is the founder and principal researcher at Chestnut. With a background in Consumer & Shopper Insights, Customer Experience, Brand, Marketing, Shopper Marketing and Sales, Courtney is well-versed in all aspects of the customer experience.
A graduate of the University of Guelph’s MSc. Marketing & Consumer Studies program, Courtney has always had a passion for uncovering insights and driving action. She is also a RIVA trained moderator.
Courtney works with businesses and principal decision-makers to develop a better understanding of customer and shopper behaviours, perceptions, and elements of interaction in order to find new and innovative ways to build strong businesses. She identifies key issues and uses creative research strategies to manage and support the consumer and shopper research process.
Prior to Chestnut, Courtney worked in various research, insight, brand and customer experience roles at Procter & Gamble, Kraft and BMO Bank of Montreal.
At both Procter & Gamble and Kraft, Courtney was a member of the Shopper Insights team and was responsible for strategy development, shopper marketing, and research innovation. Courtney built P&G Canada’s first shopper research lab where she led the shopper-based research initiatives and partnered with the sales and marketing teams to develop shopper marketing tools and create insight based sales stories.
At BMO, Courtney worked in the Market Research, Enterprise Brand and Customer Experience teams where she participated in the development of their Customer Experience discipline.
